Description
'Modern life is rubbish', thought the Sorceress, besieged by everybody and every 'nobody' of the Royal Court. They pleaded with her to save them - but simultaneously chastised her for letting the world slip into decay. After all, they reasoned that they had abolished religion and its practitioners in her favour.... surely she could do better than this to keep the forces of evil at bay? But to her mind, they had brought all these evils upon themselves - through greed and poor planning. There was even talk that the banks were beginning to stumble... a panic far more fearful to some than merely flood, plague or pestilence... now things would really have to change. Yes, this was one weird halloween!
Bemused... she had tried every trick in the book. Now she would have to try the one that isn't in any of the books... you can only try this one once - but the real trick is you can try it ALL the time and forever... Now if only they would all shut up a minute and let her concentrate on the spell...

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

Brilliant! You always 'wow' me with your work and this is no exception! As a child I wanted nothing more than to be able to do art and do it this well, the great masters were my inspiration then and images crowded my mind constantly wantng to get out...alas painting had to be left behind but the dream of being an artist lived on and now my inspiration comes from you in the beauty that you create...in the dreams that you bring back to my memory of my mothers work, so much like yours only in oils as she never saw a computer:-) Your image brought forth all the fear in the world today, a look at the past that predicted the future, the poem you chose says it so well...this is art, true and magnificent art that speaks volumes and touches the heart and mind. Thank you so much for sharing your marvelous talent, my world would be so much less without it! Beautiful dedication, wonderful details, and Bravo!!! x 10!

great image! Does look like a slightly demented version of the last supper, and I'm sure that's your intent (I counted a sorceress and twelve disciples). [And I mean demented in a good way] And the poses of the people and the rats and even the books are excellent. 5+ and a favorite for sure.
