the angels are in you to see such shots. The dappled sky is of course powerful & beautiful, but again your uncanny sense of grays and sepias make it transcendent ("flights of angels" to quote the play Hamlet). But the apartment wall is equally stunning, with the cracks and stains enlivening the wall, showing again your eye for the music of natural decay. That lone air-conditioner is one of several signs of the humanity in the shot. Andy Warhol was maligned, but he understood the music of tiny variation: You have that in these windows: a skewed curtain, the subtle changes in window-shapes (some more open, some less), a little more shade in one & a little less in another; and because of your POV you allowed some air-conditioning units to show on the side as well, so it isn't just a sheer drop-off. Even the little tree-top at bottom is a sign of life. The angel is in your eye for capturing these in delicate balance, and of course in shooting it when the bird flew past, reminding us of the world past all this. Beautiful, and a fav once again. Lord, can you take a picture...

I see brilliance. Alas, I'm too jaded and cynical to see angels--at least in the winged, ethereal sense, but that's okay. This image is enough for me. There is beauty here, and a load of real-world interest. More than that, though there are no human beings in this picture, I see humans...or at least where they live! Great work here. You have a superb eye!
