Description
It is with great sadness that I am placing this image tonight in memory of 4 of my Deloitte colleagues (of which 3 were under 30y of age) and 2 of our clients that tragically died in a small aircraft crash this morning. My heart goes out to their family and friends.
I know this happens daily, but when it hits "home" you cannot help but think of your own vulnerability and how precious life is and how suddenly and unexpectedly it can be ripped away.

Not that my story is worse, but just 3 days ago, a former classmate of mine (and I'm heavily involved with the alumni and write a bi-annual newsletter so I'm in touch with the entire class all year ever year...) over-corrected on the highway and slammed head-on into a truck hauling tools and generators for the Hurricane Ike cleanup efforts outside of Galveston. Killed. He was the only one killed. I keep playing it over and over and even if I haven't seen him since graduation in 1971, I still feel like a part of me slammed into that truck with him. This is a touching dedication and a very sorrowful story. My heart breaks for all who are left behind.

Lovely dedication image Carin. I am always sorry to hear of such misfortunes because as a pilot it is an ever present issue for me (though not at this momsnt). When things go wrong you can't just "pull over" and yes, I have had some scares so I feel for them, their relatives and friends.
