(Jan. 2008) Hello everyone and thanks for visiting my page. My name is Tom, and I've been interested in art and sketch drawing as a hobby for as long as I can remember, although never very seriously. In mid 2007 I started using Poser 6 and Photoshop Elements, and have been 'hooked' on '3D' art ever since. I'm still learning to use various 3D modeling programs to try and develop some digital art skills. I enjoy getting feedback from other artists on what to work on and how to improve.
(Feb. 2009) The submarine I've attempted to animate is from an old TV show in the 1960s called 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea'. Although the show was kind of cheesy, I remember watching it after school along with old episodes of Star Trek.

I think that each one is pretty cool! I really like the globe effects on the right! Excellent work!
OrphanedSoul
So sweet and a nice image!

I prefer the left one. I like the warm colors and the space occupation.
Faery_Light
I like the red lighting and the alien coloration on the rocks as well as the sky. All together they give it an alien, yet magical look. But I also like the effects in the globe of the second image. And I think the expression you have on the faces make them look pleased but awed by the magic of the globe. Fantastic. so...I can't decide which I like better. :)

Decisions decisions, gah, Tom! why do you do this to us? I like both. they can stand on their own merits, depending on the mood you're trying for. well done on both images

Humm. Both sublimes my friend. But I préfair that of right-hand side. For the realism of its bottom and the colors more normal and the reflexion in the ball And the position ofhis body a little more side like. That favours the forms and returns the eyes hopping of joys ((5++)) Humm.

I like the scene set up better in the one on the left but the color tones look better on the right and the reflection in the ball on the right is just totally fab.

They are both so beautiful..thank you Tom!!
Iceshark39
They both look really great, Tom! Both have their definate pluses (though I don't honestly see any negatives). Love the lighting and Posework on both. The red lit version is very mystical looking while the more naturally lit one has a more, well, I just said it, natural look - more like an Elvin mage. I LOVE the expressions!

Wonderful work.
Ravenlady
Yeah! It´s nice! fantastic work

I will speculate that a crystal ball is a perfectly geometric uncut gem like a diamond with pre-Greek significance. Thus it's later appearance artificially in glass form contains the essence of prediction forbidden by the appearance of the Messiah. No more promisses but a burden of previous ones fulfilled.

cool look and lighting FX

Excellent.

schonee
I like them both super work Tom
magnus073
Nice dedi Tom as Bryce is a wonderful lady and very deserving of it. I like both images, great job
huismus
Both renders are beautiful Tom, well done!

Hard to choose when both look so good. If I must choose, I suppose the red edition simply because I love the way the light and shades show up on her stomach. Maybe render the crystal orb in Vue, save as a PNG and using the poser red version output to merge them together. The orb has more detail in the vue version. Again though, they really both have their seperate values so very hard to choose!
shadownet
I like the left (first) one best! It's warmer, I prefer the camera angle, and overall composition better. Maybe move the camera in closer (same angle) leg leg in the picture to place more focus on the orb, which could be made a tad larger to help bring out detail. :O)

Great compositions and lights Tom ... Looks like she's realy having fun with her chrystal ball!!

Tout simplement splendide!!!!!!Belle dédicace pour Bryce!!!!
ladyinblack
They are both wonderful! I think I agree with a lot of others... really like the red tones, but the ball is wonderful in the other one :) Great work!
Heathcroft
I think the Vue one is maybe better but the Poser one has softer lights. They're both good! Dave

So sweet and nice - wonderful work! Hug's Ute

The 2 are so different and both have their own merits. The Vue image is more realistic but the Poser image was stylized so personal prefference at this point :) Don

Great character and expression Tom. Though the renders came out quite differently, I actually like them both a lot. I'd agree that the Poser render has more mystery to it, but that's of course only an advantage if that's what you're angling for.
Lunastar
I like the one on the left best. The one on the right is nice also but not as magical as the one on the left. The one on the right has the nicest globe though. Great work.
DanB-Creations
It's a very nice image. You have make a very nice work! 5/5
Robert0921
I like the one on the right. How are you getting P7 and Vue to play together? I still can't.
