To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!
Heather
 Mina's daughter
Thanks to all for stopping by and hope you enjoy your visit.

"I get out my work and have a show for myself before I have it publicly.
I make up my own mind about how good or bad or indifferent it is.
After that the critics can write what they please.
I have already settled it for myself so flattery
and criticism go down the same drain and I am quite free.

Somber but sweet! I love the subtle magic in the lower right corner. Another, similar quote, from SK's The Stand? "The world ended, not with a bang, but a sniffle.." Great artwork Mina!

I really see beauty here...hope I'm not missing your vision! I see devotion & seeking underneath the end of the world-vision that's also here too...Your figure is pointing down to a strangely beautiful pile of energies (and little lights) and it feels like there's pain in it, but there's a sumptuousness in the pile too, and it feels as if she's trying to coax light out of it, or even offer light to it. Her hands are in a traditional asking-pose, & like she's offering alms; and her face looks down with genuine compassion. She's in white too, and light is shining down on her. So, are you thinking, "what picture is he looking at?" It's just that you do cosmic dances, and this feels like devotion & beauty that goes beyond the darkness so present in the image. Let's put it this way: It feels like The Hollow Men with whispers of The Four Quartets whispering through it, and I feel real beauty in its darkness. I think it's a very touching image, truly...
