this has 3 things that hit me: 1, the terrific pile of stuff in front of the mushrooms—a bed of little bark chips and pebbles and grasses and leaves. Then 2, the big leaves to the sides of the mushrooms—with their sheen, as if they were made of polished leather. Then 3, the mushrooms themselves, with wonderful prickles on top, like little close-shaved heads. And the green leaves in the background too. It's like a salad made by nature! (A photography studio couldn't have given you a better backdrop.) A real potpourri, and I love susank's comment that someone took a bite out of the main mushroom: Without that chip, the mushroom's all white inside! Another burst of discovery from your eye.
