Description

Hello all!!! Another one from my August trip to Michigan. After dinner My Mom and I stopped at this southern Michigan beach in New Buffalo . I was drawn to this little lighthouse and the setting sun that evening. Played with it in paintshop today ( did a little bit of softening and smudging to try and remove some of the grain ) . Was on the fence about whether or not to put this one up as it is kinda dark but figured hey most people like sunsets and lighthouses so why not?... hehe uhm I think this lighthouse is so little its not registered as a true state lighthouse of Mi but it was still cute!( the red lettering on the light house was not a font I added but was just part of the lighthouse there). There was a beautiful dappled cloud & layered sky, and small boats returning to the little cove that night... those Michigan beaches really leave you wanting to come back again and again ~! I so love light houses and have made many a trip to find and photograph them, this is a very superb capture not only of the lighthouse but of the season and sunset!

That's the cutest little lighthouse! I think you have really captured a mood with this one. Sunsets are always beautiful. It definitely is not too dark. It sets the mood perfectly!

You mean this is nicer than even the Santa Monica and Venice beaches? I really don't have adequate words to describe the POV, colors, lighting and textures in this fantastic scene, Kimmie. The framework itself is stellar. One of my faves for sure!
