Description
First time I heard about “Wilis” was when I assisted to a “Giselle” performance _ that was a long time ago, don´t ask me how much. Then I was told that wilis were the spirits of betrothed girls who died before their wedding night. It´s been said that wilis are unable to rest in their graves because they couldn´t satisfy their passion for dancing when they were alive. Therefore, they gather on the highway at midnight to lure young men and dance them to their death. Brrrr!!!!. The only good thing I can remember is that they must disappear at the break of dawn. (Just kidding; I know wilis are Slavic fairies and that have played important roles in Slavic cultures).

wow! i love almost everything about this piece. just a personal reaction. i especially like the hair, and how it's darkest in the center. the colors are wonderful. i really like the pose, except for the hands. i realize i'm nitpicking, but the hands are kind of glaringly default. i like the shape of the face; again, just a personal like. it has a very stylized appearance that helps make this more like illustration than standard 3d.

Excellent indeed. Colors, pose, hair, composition, all excellent. (Just one note: I immediately noticed the default pose of her right hand and then I saw that cobaltdream also noticed it. It's a small detail but because her hand is so isolated it tends to become a focus.)

Great movement in this. Love how the hair gives her a supernatural aura. Giselle has always been one of my favorite ballets. You've expressed this mood very well.
