Description
I've been away for nearly 2 months and it feels like an awful long time. I'll certainly have some serious commenting to catch up on.
I decided to change style again for a while, but as my regulars know this is nothing new for me. For this one I wanted to give the impression of a painting and the whole image was created solely in CS3 Photoshop.
The model is from Marcus J Ranums free photo stock on DevianArt and the castle is an old photo of Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland, hence the title 'Warrior of the Glen'.

the castle & environs are painted with very nice mystery & subtlety, and I agree with marlene that it might be just as nice with or without the canvas texture; that's a compliment to the work itself, not a complaint about the texture. You also use a more broad oil-look, with nice alternation between grays, browns & whites/beiges with broad painterly strokes. A nice dappled landscape; and your warrior stands with bold earth & flesh tones, showing the human presence in this rocky grayish landscape. Very nice return, hope to see more (but then I have a whole gallery to catch up on!). Sorry it took so long to get to this, but better late than never!

Tiny - Once again an excellent piece - and well.....You got some of the best stock in Town...... I use Marcus's models quite a bit myself too..... Lovely scenery too - although obviously Scotland it reminds me of a castle is Co Kerry in Ireland too.... Lovely paintwork and excellent technique here once again..... Great to see you back!
