To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

Jim Morrison. He was a weird, tragic figure himself. I could never really understand his poetry. I guess to do that one must inhabit his mind. But what a terrifying journey that would have turned out to be. I imagine if any survived such a trip they'd still be lost forever nonetheless. Great image. I love your workd with (PSP)? WOW! WOW! WOW! This is superb, and it gives me a couple of pleasant flashbacks as well. The textures are astoundingly rich, the whole mood of the picture is superb. There are a couple of references that I get from this and I love them! I look at this image and can hear her declaring, "I can hear mice in the attic, stomping around like elephants!" --Okay, and now I'm revealing that I saw Bram Stoker's Dracula way too many times!

I love textures and this is fascinating how well you got the ancient look just right. Nice touch of spookiness in this. I had to look closely to see the unusual teeth (I usually look at the art before reading the commentary) and then it gave me a little chill as if I saw something slip past me--as if I saw it out of the corner of my eye.
