Hey the sky DOES come in that color! WOW! Okay, that just shows that every day over here has been gray and misty! Honestly, it's so incredibly DAMP and gray here. It's mold season, but then mold season lasts 365 days a year over here! Anyway, enough of that! I have to say that this is an amazingly gorgeous image! The blue is so crisp and almost searing, and the sky it such a dominant feature of this. In fact, it's more than dominant, except for that small percent of really interesting water and mountanous distance. This is a marvel of composition, and definitely a favorite.

I have been to the Isthmus on a 35 foot sailing catamaran to the place natalie woods vanished and also have been to Santa Catalina once on a large catamaran that replaced the great white steamer. Then one day I arrived off the casino in a 26 foot cabin cruiser a friend owned. We motored in in an outboard dinghy. I watched the Grumman amphibians take off from Long Beach most mornings headed for the Island in the Sky. Our department administrator operated a charter with a single engine Cessna to Island in the Sky.
