I want to thank everyone who commented and fav'd my last image. You comments on my son's wedding touched me. It was beautiful! We had a fantastic time. We met new people and saw old friends. No, my son didn't shave, but combed his hair. lol Wonderful, absolutely magical time. This image is dedicated to Steve aka "Pops" for being who he is and his art. He was one of the first people who commented on my art when I first arrived at rendo and likes my stories (silly man) :o) Thank you Steve. Big cuddles :o) My Source in the Forest tells me there is something strange happening. It has been reported by Permelia Phootenhoot, the Keeper of the Pumpkins, that the prize pumpkins that have been lovingly grown for Halloween are disappearing. Yes, Can you imagine! Poof into thin air. Everyday one or two pumpkins are no longer on their trusty vines along Pumpkin Avenue. Snedley the Snail was interrogated and was very insulted to be accused of snatching prized pumpkins, he only snatches the apples during cider time. The usual suspects from the pet shop, Scratch the Cat, Squeaker the Mouse and Ditzer the Dog have also disappeared, no one in the Forest can find them. Very strange indeed. Permelia patrols Pumpkin Avenue nightly. She has some volunteers who try to keep an eye open for any funny business, but they aren't always reliable and get frightened easily. Last night as Permelia was making her rounds she heard a strange rustling and low thud in the leaves behind her, she turned and saw nothing. Just as she got to the sign post across from the Healing Witches cottage, she heard it again, again she turned to see, but again nothing. Permelia, who doesn't get spooked easily....was and dropped her staff. As she picked it she muttered into the night, "I will konk you if you come near my pumpkins!" Permelia stood under the light of the sign post and waited for something to come out of the darkness and fog, but nothing materialized. Dawn finally came and lo and behold another three pumpkins had been torn from their vines and absconded by unseen entity in the night...or so I have been told. :o) So, if you happen to find yourself on Pumpkin Avenue around Halloween at night, be very careful and very afraid, better yet, stay home by a nice cozy fire, have a nice cup of hot cider and eat a Pecan Whoopee that Esmeralda sent from the south....Oh and lock your door as the Fairies are doing this spooky and creepy season of Halloween, because you never know when things will go bump in the night.....
