Description

509 hrs 15 mins and 58 secs to render this. 42 saves and this is just the first frame of a 30 second animation. Ok, it's not an animation, but I really wanted to see how this would turn out without giving up.

My suggestion is to send around the offering plate one more time to pay for a more powerful computer. This can be fully justified when you create pictures like this. 5 Stars *****

For sure that's a nice picture. The only question is : do YOU think that 509 hours worth it? Most of time, in case of such long render time, I feel deceived by the result comparing at the time left. Don't you ?

Holy cremola that's a long time for a render but the results are well worth it. You might want to look at using the Ranch render farm next time you get one of these mad ideas :)

man, that's amazing. I don't understand the long penalty, unless you really rendered a 30s x 24fps movie (720 frames in 509 hours) , then each frame is 1.4 hours? That seems reasonable.
