Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wonderful memorial and a great picture of it. To efron241, it would be sorta difficult to get this one past the MPs on the gate... Little sign on MP Barracks wall on Okinawa. We keep the unwanted out and the wanted in. ;-)) Cheers, Skipper

Great shot of a tribute to some brave soldiers, Bill. Buffalo soldiers of the 10th Cav were stationed at Ft. Concho in my little old hometown; a great place to visit!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Concho

Very well done. 5+.

Very nice Bill. The light, angle and the fact that this is black and white makes it a very good image. Well done.

Wonderful statue of the Buffalo Soldier. Great shot.

That is indeed very impressive Bill, what a tribute. Very sad the last remaining soldier died so recently but what an age he lived to and stories he could have told.

Superb POV employed and stark light/dark effects in this capture of the bronze statue, Bill!

It's a beautiful statue and I'd love to see it in real but your photo is nice and crisp and I thank you for sharing!

Great image. Thanks for explaining the name "Buffalo Soldier." In the 1980s and 1990s an elderly gent dressed up in parade regalia, and told his story in the public schools. Like most of us seniors, his body was shrinking, but unfortunately the uniform hadn't. Spritely for his age. My hat is off.

Great picture and tribute, Bill. Well done the last Buffalo Soldier! 111 years old. What an age! You'd be surprised what thieves steal. Some really large Bronze statues were taken from a Stately Home here not long age. Great picture all the same though, well done, Rob.
