Description

This is my first really successful cell-shaded anime render. The backgound was rendered via the non-photorealistic render option in Carrara 6.2 Pro and the characters were rendered in DAZ Studio using a free toon shader from DAZ. I plan to do more, plus animation. To see more explanation of how I did this see: the image at my site. Content: Aiko 3 Hiro 3 Bijin Jigoku Damaru Jigoku Dystopia City Blocks Under the Bridge I hope you enjoy! Let me know how I can improve this.

Great! It's really a good start. It's a very smart idea to use backgrounds if you want to make animations. It will speed up the render proces, and you can control your characters easier. Hope to see more of your work!

This is great Chris. I am also trying to better myself on a good manga-cell shaded style art. I like the explanation you did on the link above. My challenges so far are eyebrows and manually changing surface properties on clothing, hair materials.
