Description

Some of you may remember from last year that my neighbor, Lance, decorates for Halloween. Okay ... I know a lot of people decorate, but really ... Lance DECORATES! Our whole yard is a graveyard. Here are the pictures from this year's endeavor. ..... If you missed last year's pictures, or would like to see them again, just click the links: Only the Beginning and Fright Night Happy Halloween! .......... Full view is a must, for those of you who are into Halloween! I made this nice and big so you can take a really close look. EDIT NOTE: For the sake of clarification ... I'm just the photographer! This is totally Lance's trip. If he didn't do it I would miss having the yard decorated, but if it were left up to me, there wouldn't be even one pumpkin! He finds this stuff at yard sales and thrift shops during the year. Lord only knows where he stores it all!

Oh this has made my day! Terrifyingly terrific display and what a cool neighbour you have, Lance is an artist. I like the Strangling Pirate Skelemingo(as Marilyn calls them) and also the Zombie guy with the bow-tie (below) half out of the grave lol. Very well put together Tara. If there were prizes you have my vote!!!

I did/do remember last year's pictures and I was in hopes you would post more this year. Lance gets First Place for creativity. This collage is fantastic. Thanks for the links - I'm off to look at them now.

In my little town where I grew up, there was a shack down by the bayou that was turned into a "cat house." Not the naughty sort, but a house full of scary cats. It was a shotgun house (a house built one room at a time, one room behind another as the family grew) and they left the front and the back door open and kids were free to walk straight through the house. You had to challenge their 50 or so cats for candy in bowls placed in wonderful spooky displays as you walked. And they only had a couple of nightlights on here and there so with the sound of the bayou lifted on the breeze and haunting you through the open windows and doors, and with the creepy cats moving around under your feet, it was the best haunted house in town! I love that the Spirit of Halloween is kept alive like this. Not many bother any more. Super collage!

No trick or treaters out on my street last night. But then no decoration jobs either. Goes to show, if you want the little ghouls to ring your doorbell, you better plant a tombstone or two :) It is fun to see thrill of the little ones...proud as punch of their new costumes. Bill
