My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

A bird in the surf is worth..no....thats not how it goes..but..you did get all the action...and a nice dedication..
MrsRatbag
What is wrong with her! Doesn't she know the rules? NO kid is THAT cute, kids mostly stay still--herons don't! Ah, the wasted opportunities....I'm beginning to feel like Captain Ahab, chasing my Moby Heron... :)

A tryely funny story, and sad in a way. Great shot to accompany the story.
Artlan59
Too funny. The kids you can get anytime. Fantastic capture. Should have told them that they ruined your shot. Awesome.

LOL at Denise---be careful, look what happened when Ahab finally DID get that whale--you know how I love this shot, Tara, it's just great.

Well my thought is, the kids will be around for a few years but that bird will fly off any minute. LOL

Fantastic capture! :)

I'd take a little different view on this one. Remember what it is like when you only have/had eyes for the ones you love? You just happened to get two pictures in one. Couldn't be a better title. Bill

Herons are six of one and half dozen of another, you find some you could waltz with and some that'll flee if you clear your throat, guess our poor Denise hasn't found the bold one yet, her time will come! :(...Great candid sweetie!

It is amazing what people don't see, especially when it's RIGHT THERE in front of them...I think it's the human brain's innate talent of editing things out. Great shot though, and ironically enough, the heron is doing something interesting. Well...if you look at the fact that he's so solidly in a picture that is NOT focused on him. Great shot!
