A girl armed with a two handed greatsword and impractical armor. Still more practical than a metal thong bikini though... Pencil drawing scanned, lined and colored in Photoshop 6. Much of this was an experiment in coloring metal, as well as the screen and overlay modes on the airbrush. Background is Hans Holbein's Death and the Soldier, a woodcut missing from many editions (including mine) of the dance of Death because it shows man fighting back against death, which is meant to be inevitable. As such, the text is from the entries for the knight and the count, both fighting men, and thus it seemed appropriate. Enjoy, D
