Description

This image was taken at Jasmyn near Hatbeespoort Dam - an old windmill that has been renovated into a restaurant and a shop with fresh farm products!! It is the first time ever I managed to catch a bee remotely in focus while he's hovering over a flower!!! Yeah.... Thanks for clicking in and for your valued comments on this and my previous upload. Thanks also to those who chose the elephant herd as a fav!!! Hugs, Carin xx

This is really first rate. I haven't done much macro work but am keeping this as a favorite for future reference. Also like the softening of the edges of the background. Perfect. Bill

Stellar colors, contrast and lighting effects in this macro of the busy bee about to alight on the pistil of what looks to me like a cactus flower. Nice framing in this composition, Carin! Don't forget to check out my old cars!

my gosh, Carin! You did a bang-up job on this. Its so difficult to get a shot like this. The flower is just mesmerizing and the clarity of that bee is stunning. What sort of plants did you get? I lost my water lily when the coon went fishing the other morning. Dang...it was just getting big enough to enjoy too.
