Description
This image was taken at Jasmyn near Hatbeespoort Dam - an old windmill that has been renovated into a restaurant and a shop with fresh farm products!! It is the first time ever I managed to catch a bee remotely in focus while he's hovering over a flower!!! Yeah....

Stellar colors, contrast and lighting effects in this macro of the busy bee about to alight on the pistil of what looks to me like a cactus flower. Nice framing in this composition, Carin! Don't forget to check out my old cars!

my gosh, Carin! You did a bang-up job on this. Its so difficult to get a shot like this. The flower is just mesmerizing and the clarity of that bee is stunning. What sort of plants did you get? I lost my water lily when the coon went fishing the other morning. Dang...it was just getting big enough to enjoy too.
