To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens meĆĀ to no endĆĀ to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!

My best guess (from dealing with something similar on the 4th of July last year) is that you clicked the camera and moved it, and your shutter speed was too slow to catch the lights in-tact, so that's why they're all crazy. And if that's not it...I have no clue XD Still, it's not a bad thing, this looks freakin' cool! Especially with the pumpkin in the bottom one, holy smokes!!

no camera movement at all. So it's really cool! You sure you don't have some "spirits" hanging out with you on this night? LOL
Rainastorm

I say as Summer1412, because I have done it alots of times by accident and there became so cool shots out of it and I was also very amazed by them. :))) This looks so fantastic and it fits so well to Halloween :)))

Last Camera I had was a Minolta 35mm SLR, Never used a Digital camera, Got the same effect using a slow shutter speed and moving or jerking when snapping. Also a slow shutter speed while snapping a hot object will cause streaking or a Glow. Don't really know but they's cool, a Haunted Punkin. Peace

Very nice casita and very interesting picture. I don't know how it happens but I took a couple night pictures last Saturday and they have the same effect. I thought it happen because my subject was mobile. Go figureā¦lol
TwoPynts
yep, it was the night setting. You clicked the shutter and the flash went off, capturing everything nice and sharply, but then after the flash the shutter stayed open and you moved the camera during that time. The lights were the only thing that could register then so that is how you got those neat trails over the sharp photo. Nicely done and some great, "spirited" Hallowe'en shots!
pixelmeister
Darn cool capture!

I think you have been inhaling swamp gas with jocko500. This is what happens when you dust with rare earth magnets and sweep with fiber optic brooms.

Looks like lots of pure good ol' magick to me... the spirits are drawn to those of us (like yourself) who know the true meaning of that night. Great capture Mina.... big smile here, thanks for sharing such a cool capture. B*B Seth
ladyinblack
Well, I don't think it had anything to do with the camera... it's all your magick coming through... heheh. Wonderful images! Thanks for sharing :)

3dsync
Very cool!! really like the effect
novelist
Wow, Mina! It's like a curtain of light. I love that the majority of the effect comes from the pumpkin. Fabulous. I will have to try doing what the others said may have happened on purpose sometime. Whatever you did, I think the spirits were collaborating with you this Halloween. : )
