Description

Three years earlier, Captain Edwin Booth was the sole survivor when his merchant ship sank during a tropical storm. He washed up on the beach of Liannah's island, where she found him lying unconscious on the damp sand. Liannah was glad for his company, for she had been alone on this tiny spit of sand for nearly three centuries. She had offended the Elven king by speaking some truths he did not want to hear. He bannished her to this remote island and put a spell upon her so that she would die if she ever left the island farther than ten times the diameter of the island. (This was so she could fish around the isle's shallow waters. Although, LIannah was a beautiful Elven female, Captain Booth's preoccupation for the first year was how to get off the island. By the beginning of the second year, Booth was resigned to the fact that he was marooned. A big part of his reconciliation with his situation was the love that had bloomed between the pair. Now, though, a French warship has anchored off shore. When the sailors landed upon the island, they were astonished to find the two of them. Booth immediately rowed back with the sailors to the vessel where the Captain agreed to bring Booth and his companion aboard. The French gave Booth a new set of clothing befitting his position as a former captain of a ship, then Booth returned to the island to collect Liannah. Liannah, though, had never spoken of her Elven origins, nor anything about her king's spell. Booth was a worldly man and she was certain that he would only have scoffed and called it "female nonsense." Booth tells Liannah that he is leaving but that he wants to take her with him. Booth does not understand and becomes upset with her. Liannah bursts into tears for she cannot leave, unless the Elven King frees her. Her tears are not just because her lover is leaving; the notion of all those long, lonely, empty years ahead of her are more than her spirit can bear. _____________________________________________________ Wish I could make a happy ending for this one, but even I cannot undo an Elven King's curse--and I'm too chicken to even try! Sad smile. Thanks for coming by and taking a look. All your past comments have been greatly appreciated as well. Thank you very much for them. Jeremy CREDITS: Vue Pro Studio 6, PSP 5.
