Description

Okay, it WILL be a boy! (I mean ... it's already a boy, he just hasn't been born yet!) My nephew-by-choice (Ben) and his wife (Tarah) are due in January. The shower is this Saturday, and I finished the blanket a couple of days ago in plenty of time. Now. Do I have any wrapping paper around here??? They're naming him Kaelen Lawrence. I can't wait to meet him! This is "before" and "after," by the way. Skeins of yard and the finished blanket. If you're not into baby blankets, just consider these to be texture shots. :) .......... Edit note: I forgot to tell you ... the color choice was based on the decor of the baby's room. Pale green walls, with Winnie-the-Pooh decorations.

My mother-in-law made a small crib blanket for my daughter when she was born. Each year she added another 6 inche border to it until it was big enough to be a bedspread for a king sized bed. If she hadn't died when my daughter was 25, it would not be big enough to cover most of New Jersey.

This is a great colour you chose here sweetie, moreover most folk will go for a more definate blue for a boy, the soft turquoise colour is delicious, well done on the crochet/knitted work, skillfuly done my dear, and hey, I don't mind baby blankets at all, after all I had one when I was a baby!

I'm a man, well I think I am, but I can do blankets, blankets are OK, I've knitted a few myself if truth be known. Excellent colour choice Tara, would do for either sex really, and I'm sure the texture is very soft. Congratulations to the happy couple also. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

It is fortunate you explained the title vis-a-vis the photos because I couldn't see the connection at first. I thought this was some kind of ocean life species I had never seen before. Ennyweigh, splendid pale colors and textures in this macro.
