Description

we're talking one last look downstream because there was the sounds of laughter in the distance. I'm not too sure if it was from other hikers or from the fae who are watching us. As we look, we watch a leaf dancing in the water as it floats on by, heading towards the Washougal River, from there, the Columbia River and maybe, if it doesn't get washed ashore along the way, the Pacific Ocean. This has been a very beautiful and restful stop for us. As we take one last look around, we listend to the water singing to us a joyful sound, almost like it's wishing us a great journey. The breeze, which has been gentle to us and brought such wonderful scents to our noses, freshens a bit, but not much. We watch a couple of dragonflies dart about near the water. Amazing that they can fly like they do. We bid our farewells to this wonderful region and make our way back up the trail that led us here, back to the main trail and work our way ever closer to the roaring that has been with us since we stopped here. The trail, once semi-hidden from us as we walked down to this spot, seems more open, as if it is allowing us more freedom, now that the fae have welcomed us to this area. We take advantage of this and make our way quickly to the top, back onto the main trail. Thank you all very much who commented on the last image and those who made it one of their favorites. Have a great Thursday! Mike

Wow! What a beautiful place. It reminds me of where I grew up and all of the places I miss so much. Where is this magical place?? I have never heard of Lacamas Creek. Great photo! BTW.. I love your avatar! I have that same doll except mine has a lot more wear. She traveled every where with me as a young teen. To all of those places that your photo reminds me of....
