Description

From the late summer, when the efts were on the march. I must've taken 20 shots of these efts we kept finding in the garden and the driveway. There was even one where an eft was perched on Mom's hand, it was so cute... but for some reason the camera doesn't like to focus on red or orange colors so almost all of them came out blurry. I'm glad I got this one. Thanks for the comments you left on "the happy fly", glad you liked it.

Those are cool! Not sure where you are, but they remind me of little guys that were all over when I was a kid visiting NJ one summer. It had rained and then there were 100's of them all over the roads. Cool shot. I want one!!!

don't know these creatures, but they have an almost translucent glow, and in this setting they seem like a big piece of candy with eyes. A fascinating shot, another of your inviting macros, and I love all the debris on him/her. I think, from doing this so long, you've come to see what most of us barely notice; and while these creatures may dwell just past our feet, we don't notice them even if someone points them out (and even then, we'd have to re-look until we saw it). Your gallery (among several things you do) makes us aware of the eye-popping and visceral life around us; and for that, you deserve a big loud and very earnest 'thank you'. It's a mystery you don't have pages of responses, because even on the shots you describe as just 'shots', you do better with these amazing creatures than almost anyone else here.
