Description

This is another shot from my recent California Redwoods vacation. The walls of this little canyon right on the coast are literally covered with ferns. It's a very pleasant place for a quiet walk. Pictures from this trip and my trip to Pennsylvania to try to catch some fall color are at my SmugMug gallery. I've also started a gallery of fractals there, too. There's nothing new there yet, as I'm redoing my favorites in larger sizes before doing new ones. You can see them here if you're so inclined. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

What a wonderful sight Dennis! I'd never have believed it, all those beautiful ferns cascading onto the path; they surely must be growing on the side of high banks.

This must be a naturally built canyon but the walls are so straight and tall that it amazes me. The thick ferns would seem to say it doesn't get much flooding through here to continue carving out this area. Wonderful discovery and capture.
