Description
Vampirella was his creation, and recenty, Forry has been very ill at the age of 92.
This image is a tribute to the man who for many many years published Famous Monsters of Filmland and inspired generations of filmmakers and fans alike.
I met him once in California. A gentleman and a scholar of the macabre who to this day is unparalleled.
You are remembered in our prayers, Forry. :)

I am a writer and Forrest Ackerman has two of my novels. When he received them, he called me personally to thank me and to tell me how much he enjoyed them. Then he invited me to his house to visit and then to his 90th birthday party. Uncle Forry is a dear sweet man with an incredible wealth of stories. Truly an icon in the world of science fiction and horror.
