Description

This is a SWACS attachement added to the Saladin midway through her career. It's a special purpose module that can be removed. The Saladin is based on the Franz Joseph Starfleet Technical Manual.

I've never seen a SWACS module before. I'm woefully unfamilliar with the STM. Nice modeling and great render! Well done!

These were used on the Nebula Class in Star Trek: The Next Generation, but were also used in the game, Starfleet Battles. We decided to incorporate the tech into our production, in part, as an easy way to differentiate the Saladin and the Tamerlane, which are both destroyers. Saladin will not be using this all the time, but about midway through the story cycle I have, there is a refit that is done. It will have this configuration in the Tamerlane comic that is coming up. Those can be found currently at www.usstamerlane.com. Check them out, they're very good. They're written by a friend of mine, who I met because of Star Trek Fandom. Ken
