Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Shoedinger when he was in Dublin would have not let his retinue near such violence. He was more into the sort of linear compressions characteristic of acoustics than the transverse kind so beloved by Maxwell. Just another reminder of how far I had to go after being told that Physics had not met the mark and was sent back to state court for reconstruction. Even this morning as I was running I began to be prompted on mechanical repair and how every failure had to be treated as individual and criminal. No more flat rate. No more posting an hourly rate and making an estimate to be signed. No wonder the Chinese don't believe in interchangeable parts. The wave of immigration known as the boat people has long ago ended.

Awesome power in the sea Marylin and I have a very healthy respect for it as well, if it gets to withing six inches of my feet that is ten foot too close. I like a distance between me and the breakers, I didn't mind at one time but now I like to get wet inside not outside. Excellent capture, just a tiny taste of what water can do, especially tidal water. Bravo!!!!!

You really can`nt respect the sea enough as we have all seen what damage it can cause when least expected .I agree this is awesome :o) Mick

You get storms? They're just a myth around here. Stellar color contrasts and depth effects in this dynamic shot of the waves, coming our way in their attempt to knock us backwards. Junior tsumanmis.

WOW...Another ocean shot. You do these so incredibly well! I love the blues in this, and the dynamic motion so perfectly caught!
