To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

If there was one word I would use to describe this beautiful and glorious image, it would have to be "divine". The texture and the colours, and that beautiful glowing and phenomenally lit face... it's just a wonder Mina! You are so talented and so gifted.... and such a lovely choice of poetry to go with it. Wordsworth most certainly is one of my fave's... his ideas of nature were so ideal; and on many occasions I tend to find myself pondering his notions... so beautiful!

I had to come back to this piece several times before commenting on it. Basically it comes to down to the dramatically faded and crackled affect contrasting with the incantation to eternity. Is immortality not perfection, or is it just an illusion as presented here. There is much to ponder in this piece and it is not easy to do so.
