"You haven't seen a tree until you've seen its shadow from the sky." -- Amelia Earhart
“You don't take a photograph, you make it.” - - Ansel Adams
UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Certain amount of sadness to this one Bill but just nature taking it's course. Is that your house? If so it's a lovely place you have there.
tennesseecowgirl
LOL this is great. The breezes here yesterday blew away most of our leaves as well.. Such beautiful trees.

That's a lot of work there if that is your humble abode, mate! Very picture friendly though! Kind of like cartoons were all the leaves fall down in one go. Or is that Monty Python? Age again..... Rob.

Windy week here in Tulsa, and so too in Wichita; guess you got the breezes also. Great idea, the before and after shots.

Great comparison shots; but it will be no time at all until the trees are leafing out green again!

At least you did a great job of picking up the leaves! Great comparison! :)

Same thing happened in Saint Louis. One day, exciting fall colors. Next day getting out the mulching mower to grind up all the leaves. A realistic contrast.

Can't help it, I have a vision of panning left and seeing a neighbours hose completely buried under all the leaves :) This a quite stunning contrast Bill.Definitely one of my favourite forms of photography.I spent 18 months photographing the demolition and rebuild of the Bowling Ally where I work. Always got one shot from roughly the same spot to track the progress. This is a real joy, thanks Bill.

WOW...those are BEAUTIFUL trees!! Awesome and HUGE lol Allot of raking I am sure! I have one pretty darn good sized Maple out in front of my place, the rest are mostly fur trees...but way out back all way round are some beautifully color changing trees! :-)Thanks for sharing this!
