UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

No improvement needed on this one. A Classic. Hope the click of the shutter didn't disturb him Skipper62

Classic, a great family portrait, I hope he liked your study of him :)

Only suggestion I have would be to get a smidge of the table in front of the coffee cup so it gives that long view and not a view with a piece of coffee cup. Other than that, I love the line-up with the sign in the background.

Brilliant, Bill! I'd just have moved the cup, that's all.

My only idea would be to have woken him up and got him to wash his dirty cup. ;) Nah but maybe lose the cup next time. I love the way you included the sign. It really adds another element of interest to the shot. Congrats.

We should all get to repose content as this gentleman. Good camera work, Bill

I don't really shot people very often so I can't say much, this is so not posed that makes it better in my opinion.

An excellent candid shot. Bless his heart.:)

Excellent portrayal of a possible Rip van Winkle you've presented here, Bill! He looks so comfy and cozy sitting there, oblivious to the world around him. I like the late in the day sidelighting in this shot. I bet he was a lot easier to photograph than an auto show. BTW, as you can see in my gallery, I don't do people portrayals myself.

This is a perfect picture. I started laughing as soon as I saw it. Great shot!

Well done. Neat shot.

Beautiful family picture. He remains me my grandfather. Unfortunately, before he passes away, I wasn’t “in love” with the camera, so I don’t have pictures of him
