Description

Morning all :o) Took this shot yesterday from inside through the kitchen window .I knew they were coming to the table regularly but if I stood outside they could wait longer than me as it was cold ,wet and windy so I just had the camera ready and watched out the window .The light was bad aswell so I had to crank the iso up so it may look a little grainy . Thanks for looking and take care Mick

Great shot Mick, I have a few of these regular visitors outside my flat window every morning. Coincidence that only yesterday I opened the kitchen window to get a shot, because one was so close but I disturbed it and it never came close again. They are quite nasty towards other birds and make a cackle of a noise. nice shot Mick!

I had a (rather vulgar) giggle at your title when I read the e-bot. Thankfully the image is not what sprang to mind. Well caught! I've mainly got feeders which exclude large birds, but magpies are such great looking birds I like them until they raid nests for the babies of robins and dunnocks.

I quite like the magpie myself, we have a pair that nests in a tree a couple of houses away, they come back to the same tree every year. They are always in my garden for the bath and get spiders from the eves of the shed. They may take some bread but they do not go near the feeders, mind you they dangle from a line and even the starlings don't enjoy feeding. It's the small birds that feed there, sparrows robins and bluetits. I like this shot Mick, perfect with the one with the nut in it's beak. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

This is a bird that has thug status here in the UK, a great shame as it's a beuatiful bird in it's own right, when the light is right he/she can have a gorgeous turquiose sheen I quite like maggies, and this is a fine shot mate!

Great shot Mick, you can't go wrong with birds. :) I saw these when I was in England but never got a shot. I enjoyed looking through your posted images since my absence here. Cheers to you and yours, Mick!
