Morning all :o)
This is for all my friends ,who have encouraged and supported me :o)
These Piggin`s as they are called are collected by my youngest son .They ended up back at our house in a cabinet when he moved back home .There are about 20 of them ranging through different themes ,happy birthday ect..I dont think the lighting is totally right or maybe its just me but the one thing I`m sure of using flash even at its lowest setting was to harsh .I used natural light coming through a window in the end :o)

I think maybe a different background would have been better Mick, black, white, blue or red might have worked better than this. The face and the cakes are spot on but the arms and legs seem to loose it against that background. I have a couple of artists boards I got from a stationers, A3 in size, one black one white, if photographing objects I use those. One as a base and one as a background, or if needed I use the white one to reflect light onto the subject. I'm familiar with these piggin's, although not a collector I have admired them and commented on them to Pauline. There used to be a shop in Middleton that had them on display in the window. I was suprissed how many different ones there were, although not too expensive it would still cost a bit to have them all. Excellent capture, just the background that niggles me. Bravo!!!!!

What a cute thing! I've no memory of these at all! Jeff's ideas are worth a few tries, but I actually quite like this toning background, it makes the whole image warm, matching your message.

Coudn't agree more with Andrea mate, critical comments at this stage would be Piggin mean after a dedication image you took the trouble to give to your friends, of which I would love to count myself, the overall warmth echos your warm thanks and warm nature, Thanks for sharing :)
