Description

Kate, one of the women who attends our Friday Club, has a remarkable grandmother called Gwendoline. A lady who I have never had the pleasure of meeting. She is remarkable in that this year she has reached the grand old age of 105. Most of you may know that every British Citizen who reaches 100 receives a card from HRH Queen Elizabeth. I've never seen such a card and don't expect to recieve one myself so I asked Kate if she would bring it in to show us, she very kindly did !

Bless, thats really nice. What a different world she must've been born into in 1903. Bet they were still using "Dial up connections" back then!

They do that here, too. I think they do it for 50th wedding anniversarys, too. Of course the card comes from the President! I'm hoping someone I like is in office when I turn 100. I feel sorry for everyone who turned 100 during the past eight years! :) Thanks for sharing this!

Lol at Tara, she cracks me up, I wonder who took the Queens picture for this card, and Lol @ vsvry(is that the 105 year old lady). That my man is Queen Elizabeth II. I doubt very much that I will recieve one of these special cards Alan, I don't really want to live another 40 years, not in this condition at any rate. Very nice of Kate to bring it in for everybody to look at, I'm sorry I missed it but Pauline wasn't too good Friday. Excellent capture mate. Bravo!!!!!
