My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Every time I say I wasn't driving, no one believes me!! Great shot!!

Awesome view; the power lines act like a guide to draw our eyes to THE ROCK.... :) And sure you weren't driving, we need evidence!
artaddict2
The magnificent view of this Rock and road leading our eyes towards it disguises the fact that power lines are there at all. Wonderful sight Tara!

Beautiful place and fantastic photo.
fadox
great colors

Very interesting. (Especially those swervy skiddy tyre marks on the road!) I think the power lines add to this.

really wonderful image!!! Great photo!

Yes exactly. The pipelines are a part of the landscape and gives also perspective. If you had erased them, you also had to remove the pole that could be more difficult. Beautiful capture. :)

Hay! Real great work. It's beautyful

First off, congratulations on having an ultra clean windscreen, when I had a car, the windscreen would have been more like a neutral density filter rofl. Tara this is beautiful, I love the perspective here, RE: The power lines, I think they do work here as they actually look quite neat running in the same direction as the Con trails, nice image sweetie.

Oh yes, I like the power lines there....what a neat shot and a very cool rock :o)

Great shot!

now that is some road block .... :)

I think we have all come to accept that power lines are going to get into the picture Tara, and as Ronnie says they do work well with the rest of the lines. You have the double yellow the single white the con trails and the power lines, if you decide to rub one out the rest should also go and that is not acceptable nor practical. They all go to lead the viewer into the picture all converging on the main subject, 'The Rock'. Even the small fence poles lead you in. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Great shot, glad you left the power lines in.

This is a super shot...power lines included...what really works with them is the fact that they're an echo of the contrails--well a somewhat visually opposed echo since they're crisp and dark and the contrails are fluffy and white. At any rate, I like them quite a lot, especially since they bring an extra element to an already fantastic picture! The light here is fantastic, especially since it plays around with the rugged face of the rock and brings the whole thing into focus. This is a fabulous piece of work.
