Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Psychedelic for sure...

Little Alice is on drugs again ... :) Here's a link to my favorite version of "White Rabbit," by a Seattle group called Sanctuary. It might be just a little heavy for some, but I like it! :) (Oh great ... now people are going to click to that link and find out AuntieTK isn't the sweet little old lady they always thought she was!)

NICE. Very nice. I like the fact that the sense of color is still vivid here, despite the fact that it seems somewhat muted. The mushroom itself is well captured, and it's funny, it reminds me of a hunk of cheese on a stalk...go figure.

Tara just turned me on to this group, and for an old hippie chick who missed heavy metal, well I gotta tell ya---this ROCKS!!!! I'd try head banging, but it would probably just give me a headache!!

Amazingly beautiful. Wish I could find that kind of natural art around here.

Wow, were you lying on your belly to get this shot? Awesome shroom, looks like someone has been sampling the wares!

Well, I listened to both those, and I must say I preferred the Sanctuary version because of the great guitar playing, it's probably my age. A clever title for a super pic.

This is a most unique capture, Marilyn. Talk about through a glass darkly, what happened here? Are we witnessing an explosion of sorts, or was this shot taken through a debris-cluttered window pane? The lighting really makes everything stand out.
