Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

AH! Beautyful absolutly. Lovely color. And the teksture is great.

Like the old granny that snaps. My grandmother had lots of snapdragons but she never snapped at us. She would gesture with her paring knife. There was a near wildness to it.

Some of the varieties have a very lovely scent to them.

I remember doing that with snapdragons too. These dragons look like they need a shave, look at that fur! Awesome closer-than-closeup, and as always, intense and beautiful color.

I love to watch bees go right inside these, as a child it fascinated me, and I got stung on more than one occasion :)...Super capture!

Snap to it, soldier! Terrific clarity and vivid colors to be sure, especially those reds! I like the fuzzy-wuzzy magenta flowers a lot.

Beautiful...I have always loved Snapdragons
Chipka
These are gorgeous...I never made them snap, though I often snapped hasta blossoms before they opened...occasionally they squeaked. Anyway...enough ruminating about plant cruelty... ...This is a gorgeous photograph, filled with vibrant intensity and life. I love the closeness you managed to catch and convey so clearly.
