Yesterday was a beautifully clear, cold, still day.. perfect for exploring a little. So, determined to get some interesting new content on my memory card I headed out a couple of hours before sunset to explore the area, and came across a small castle, cool stream with bridge and upturned tree, and an amphitheatre-like beach (loads of large stone steps descending to it, like a theatre) near the village of Pittenweem, about 15 miles southwest of St Andrews. The view across the bay was breathtaking, and definitely something to return for a panorama of at some stage... however I got there just in time for sunset and set up to take a few shots at the nearest decent vantage point on the beach. This was among the first of the frames taken there. Although this might seem like a familiar view to those who remember my beach sunrise series, it's not in fact a beach I've been to before, and was taken at the other end of the day, capturing sunset.. Maybe another couple from this location in the coming days.. have a good start to the week! Adam
