Description

Another shot from my low light session. This vase was painted many years ago by a friend of mine, and I've always loved it. I like this shot because I can see so many things reflected in the vase. My office here at home is also my sewing room, and I did my low light setup on the ironing board. The blinds were open behind the vase, there was a desk lamp to the right, and my computer is to the left. Can you see the reflection of my tripod? .......... Edit note: The lights off to the left are reflections on the inside of the vase of the desk lamp that's off to the right. The only reason I figured that out is because I know what the lamp looks like! It's pretty convoluted, with all the curves and surfaces of the vase.

Yes to the tripod and maybe the computer monitor screen to the left also...but can't figure out the two little red lights with maybe some kind of bar between them..like the soft glowing colors..

So, you are shooting directly down on your vase. At first I was wondering what you were using as a backdrop...that's actually the ironboard cover. Pretty cool. I want to do the same sort of low light experiemnts but outside at night. Great results here. Bill

I am just repeating the above here but its what I see also, a very rich and warming image, the vase itself is beautiful as is the image. Yes also to the tripod, but it doesn't detract as it looks soft, love the red lights they look like candles. A really first class capture in low light Tara, a stellar image in fact. Superb work, you have learned your lesson well, a first class student, I'm sure Ronnie will agree. Bravo!!!!!5+++++ Fav

Oh I told her she do goody before Jeffers :)...and here is the proof, as Denise said Tara you ARE! getting good at this stuff, this is wonderful, I myself may have taken the colour cast out with cooling filters, that's not critique BTW, I love the warm tone here, and to remove the cast wouldn't have had the same impact, well done!!
