Description
No! Not that kind of escort service. :)
The Two seater is an Albatross CV-17. When the Albatross series of fighters turned out well, they thought why not a two seater. The first "C" models did not perform well and it wasn't until the -17 that they hit a model that did well. Later models were like the SR-17, high and fast. Here a C-17 from an unknown recon squadron is escorted by three DVA's. Two are from Jasta 5 and the "Ace of spades" belonged to Lieut. Hans Bohning Jasta 36.
Two seaters normally had more subdued markings until very late in the war.
Models done in Wings3d, Vue 6I for the rest.

Nice model of the CV-17, don't see many of those.

Good Gotha! You're on your way now into the high cllouds and blind situations. I like the operational magic of the cloors and general formations and awareness. I myself have to studiously avoid any appearance of adopting false military credentials.

Great render here. I need to look around more in your gallery. If it flies, I like it and this is really well done. I remember building a model of an Albatross years ago...single seater though. Bill

You've done a superb job with both the model and the render. I just wish I had half your model making talent.

Nice work! Of course you'll have to start on the Nieuports, Sopwiths, RAFs, and SPADs, such that the Albatrosses, Fokkers, and Junkers have something to tangle up with. The squadron liveries from WWI were much wilder and colorful than anything that came later. But some of the names and logos still live on today, even though they're in muted and flat colors that don't contrast much with modern camo schemes.

WW1 German planes complete with their radical custom paint schemes. I think we should go back to that.
