Description
This was taken in New Mexico (I think the Pecos National Forest). One of my favorite photos from vacation. This was taken just before the skys opened up. If you're interested in my story for that day you can find it on this upload, "Pecos Pueblo ~ A Closer View".

It's HOT here (Mid 90's F). But thank goodness the winds have stopped.

Super duper POV and DOF to go along with the wonderful ominous mood that this shot engenders, Melinda! I wonder if my brother in Santa Fe ever experiences these scenes. He takes photos of stuff like this but none as good as yours.

WOW. This is superb work. There is a definite, ominous mood to this, but there's also a lot of anticipation as well, and I like that quite a lot. I have a fascination with dramatic skies, they really don't get much more dramatic than this! The choice of black and white simply heightens the mood wonderfully. I love this image!
