you know, it's almost like seeing an intense gaze through debris, as if through the smoke from a fire in the soul...I love the hairline circles, curves & squiggles, they're like the age-lines of old masterpieces or the debris on the lenses of old cameras: There's something inner-chamber-ish about them (I can't explain what that means for the life of me, but I feel it!). And the face is shaded with real passion & intensity. The dark fires of love? It's like peering into a soul through the atmosphere of an intense moment, and it packs a real punch. (And I love that pink orb to the left of her chin—it's like a Light that follows her around.) And you apply the reds to her face in a very painterly manner: reminded me of Rembrandt! Very intense & evocative, Mina. As always.

Beautiful piece for above my couch, Sugar plum.#:o) Love your special scratchy style. Love is in the air and on the canvas. Almost like a Renoir which has been dragged 5 miles, after a car. Masterful handwork in all aspects. Good ole Pierre-Auguste would have loved it. I do anyway.
