Description

The London skyline on Tuesday. I had Mon/Tues in London. Monday was delayed for 7 hours at Prestwick airport, not happy. I was off to the "Take a view" awards and planned to meet up with Ritchard (Onslow)at the National Gallery theatre, I made it there by the skin of my teeth. I met Ritchard, had a few beers and enjoyed the evening there in his company. The prints on display there are stunning and are worth going to see. I had eleven hours of going round the sights in London on Tuesday. Well impressed, ... friendly, helpful, cheerful, polite people (seriously, yes I'm actually saying that!!) The streets were clean, it was easy to get about on the tube and the sights and buildings are up there with the best. The place is buzzing and theres a lot of buildings going up for 2012. Needless to say I was sick of taking pictures by the end of the day, but I was treated to a dramatic sunset behind big ben, theres some things you can't pass by with photographing, trouble is Londons full of them! Thanks for viewing

What a fantastic shot of London in this light. It looks like a Venecian painting!

There are strong opinions as to the London skyline! In this great shot you can see one ( or the) of the past glories and those of the 20/21c. The gherkin is a stunner...but the one to its left doesn't rate highly for me. Glad you enjoyed your brief visit..
