Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Open your wallet. Make a trail of dollar bills going out your front door. Then follow it. (Does anyone ever get it that I find huge egos and motivational forms monstrously funny)

Yes the truth will set you free, but many people after they gain their freedom would rather be enslaved to the lies, very sad!!!! Nice work on this poem/story!!!

I like what you've done with the 1-3 rhyming. It leaves me with a feeling of sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting ... Nicely done!

I've been in a similar position, wondering what the future will bring, what challenges the day will demand I face, or what answers linger just beyond my ability to reach them...it's a fundamental element of the human condition, and you've captured it brilliantly. What the day brings is always something never revealed until...well...until it's revealed and at times, all we can do is sit and wait...something I've become far too familiar with! But ah...this is a lovely poem, its truth is such a part of its beauty too!
