(Mondrian—I like it!) I realize that you find abstract design whether through direct image or painterly manipulations. Here, the red is stunning (agree with koosie & meisiek.) against the white and rich darks. But so is the simplicity of design: rectangles for the wall, the organic flow of the tree (and its reflections in a window) and the shadows in between. A simple piece but complex, and (as always) quite enticing. I look at my gallery and think some of my pieces are boring; yet I don't know if I'll ever find that in yours: Your eye feels keen everytime. Maybe my challenge should be: Bore me! I dare you! I don't think it's possible, but if you did, I'd probably think the world was coming to an end. Another fine piece from you...

WOW! This is a work of genius...the color is astounding, but what really grabs me is the byplay between the thing itself, in this case, the tree, its shadow and its reflection; it takes quite an eye to spot that. On a level it calls so much into question, and added to this is the bold, assertive red, which works so beautifully with the overall composition, pulling the whole image into a new sort of balance.
