Description

I think this MIGHT be the last picture from Smith Rock that I'm gonna make you look at! Well ... at least for now. No guarantees that I won't go back and find more things in the file later on. :) This is Mount Jefferson, as seen from the "inside" of Smith Rock. This is real, by the way - it's not a composite or a manipulation. Oh ... it's not crooked, either! :) And oh yeah ... do you see the climber just above that bald patch on the left-hand side? Just in case you needed something for scale.

WOW! WOW! WOW! There's so much in this photo to enjoy. Mostly, the vague reference to Japan's Mount Fuji. The balanced rock is what draws my attention, though I have to say that there is quite a lot in this image that allows the eye to wander, rest, and wander again. Great details, great light...fantastic clarity and sense of beautifully orchestrated composition. I love this image!
