Description

I just love those days where you've got no place you have to be or anything to do. And you can just get in the car and go where the road takes you. Well, last Saturday that road took my daughter and me to Shelby Forest. For being directionally challenged, I only got lost once but that in itself was fun because we came across these beautiful horses and they came up and let us pet them. Some time later we found ourselves at the Mississippi River where the water was so low we walked out and stood on a sand bar. It was cold, overcast, and cloudy all day but as we were getting ready to come home the sun dipped beneath the cloud line and showered us in his dazzling light making us both feel invincible and 10ft tall! And that's the story behind this picture. Photo merely resized from raw jpeg for the post...lighting and color levels were sufficient that it didn't need to be tinkered with in photoshop.
