Trees and birds are freebie brushes from deviantart.
I hope you like this, it took me hours of postwork on the wings alone but I think it was worth it, although I doubt if it will appeal to the masses;-) I enjoy doing 'serious' art on occasion:-)I find it very satisfying.

Always a work astounding my friend even according to certain beliefs which do not consider veracious a thing. The whole suggested well gives an unequalled completion. Cheer and mile mercies. Me I believe in the amazement and with their savours brought for a rapture ((5++)) Toujours un travail stupéfiant mon ami même selon certaines croyances qui ne considèrent pas le véridique de la chose . His musculature and evident pain are vivid and show his inner state. And for once, he's a "fallen" winged creature who hasn't had his wings shredded. That may not seem like much of a distinction, but I've seen so many injured and one-winged victims in such art that it's become tiring. (As well as dismaying, as the wings always seem to take the brunt of it, giving them much less of an artistic point. But I'm a wing-nut {g})

This one really gets the viewer thinking, Sylvia. Let me reassure you that it was well worth the effort, my good friend, whatever the 'purists' say. I do happen to believe in angels, both good and bad. I am thankful for the former, and definitely wary about the latter. Who was it said that the devil has half won the battle for your soul, when you don't believe in his existence..? Warm regars, on a chilly Friday evening, John.
