Description

Pen-y-ghent A short drive from the picturesque market town of Settle is Pen-y-ghent. Standing at 2,273 feet high this hill is one of the most famous peaks of the Pennines and dominates the skyline from miles around.This was captured yesterday and shows the light flurry of snow that fell the night before. A typical Yorkshire sight with the sheep enjoying the afternoon sun.

Lovely and must bee seen in full size.. the depth of the image is deceptive and this distant view covers much earth from foreground to the rise. Well done.

I have climbed this 4 times, once as part of the 3 peaks walk, and only once have I seen the view from the top !! great shot and a place not far from the waterfall walk, a lovely place to visit

The color scheme is quite pleasing to the eye. If I were a sheep, I think I'd choose that spot. So beautiful. If it weren't for your post I wouldn't even know of the place.
